More water dancing.

The high humidity continued yesterday, and PURE seemed to have a handle on de-humidifying, tolerable! I even felt some warm dry air coming in. Not perfect, but much more comfortable than the first humid period a couple weeks ago.

 The terrace, being outdoors, was  another story, although the temperature was bearable, the high humidity made everyone wet.  PURE has misters installed in the outdoor area, but, just like swamp coolers and sweat, when the air is already saturated, it can't evaporate and cool. 

This never seems to "dampen" the spirits of the partiers... ahd a great time and danced with several smoking hot laydeeees. I gave them my phone number, but i guess they all called at once and jammed up the phone company's equipment.

Chilled beauties.

The human body does a wonderful job of temperature control, but depends on dry air in the environment. Yesterday here in Vegas, the humidity soared, as monsoon pattern flows pumped moisture into the Arizona Nevada  flow.  When this happens, many Las Vegas venues are cursed with cold but very wet air.

OK, look i know i keep telling you that the women were even more beautiful than before. But... Really... I donno if the female body could be considered "intelligent" design. But god sure does know what i like. Monday is industry night at JET, so the heartbreakingly beautiful waitresses from all the Light Group venues were there, as well as a cheerleading squad and the local hotties. There was enough skin in the room to cover a football field an a couple linebackers. 

It wasn't hot, it wasn't cold, but the sweat simply refused to evaporate, the visual effect was stunning. All that skin, covered only in beads of sweat. Of course lazy ass me did not grab the camera and share these moments with you,

The challenge for the AVAC programmer, is to find a least cost path to dry cooled air. The easiest approach is to just run a fraction of the staged units for a longer time. The cost can be lowered by using solar power for both removing moisture directly, for example by drying silica gel, and for air heating. in the absence of "free" heat, running an inefficient compression heat engine on a longer cycle.

If your facility does not have humidity sensors, adding them to the mix, and choosing a dehumidification strategy will result in happier customers.

Laggers and Booters

The people and bots that invaded Nevada:1 in yahoo chat last week were back again last night. This time we've got much better documentation and timely abuse reporting to thwart this menace. A LAGGER is a compressd audio file crafted to create maximum CPU load when decoding, a lagger is also the person mounting such an attack.. Sending such a stream to a computer effectively freezes the victim's computer.

August 4, 2008, a gloomy Monday

Never, Ever, use YAHOO MAIL for anything that might be in the least important.  Although they have the best and most reliable communication server in the world (IMHO) if you get TOSed, you lose everything, you bankinking info, you airline tickets, all those job offers... EVERYTHING you have is subject to the whim if the BOFHes in the YAHOO abuse department.

There is no appeal, no help, you simply die. You can try calling the password help 1-866-562-7219 but they can only confirm that you were turned off due to violation of their Terms Of Service, and will not do anything for you except tell you to fill out a form which is ignored by the abuse ppl..

AS long as im ranting, EMBARQ a local phone company here in Vegas, advertises on TV FREE TELEVISION for the first year. But if you cancel before the two year contract expires, you pay a $120 cancellation fee. If you continue to fulfill the two year contract, you pay $37.50 a month. Making your "FREE" television cost either $10 a month or $17.50 a month.

I'm almost glad the world (actually civilization as we know it) is going to end on Dec 22, 2012 these greedy bastards deserve to crumble.

Don't worry, life on earth will not end until 2060... Posiibly do to the huge amounts of mercury released by thise curly light bulbs. Have you seen one expire yet? The snap crackle and spew like a kid's breakfast cereal.  Hey I like fireworks as much as the next guy, but the first time one of those babies went it scared the daylights out of me.

Sunday Morning, 06JAN08 CES week starts

Such excitement! My friend LUI and his school chum, Mr. SUN arrived Friday by TED. Yes, he asked what the heck does TED stand for, i only made the united connection a few months ago myself.

Saturday, we started with a visit to the strip Jack-in-the-Box, sipping Jack's great coffee  enjoying the view of departing airliners flying sideways toward us as they executed crosswind takeoffs in a brisk south wind.

Thence to the FRY'S ELECTRONICS superstore, where we looked at the state of street pricing and availability of modules needed for our third generation television network. Just as the $1000 camera and recorder made television production available to the individual, Internet 3 will level the playing field, allowing content producers to reach their market directly.

Later, we stopped to see the PUSSYCAT DOLLS show at PURE.

Jan 2, 2008 HAPPY NEW YEAR

I decided to abandon the horizontal layout in the sincere hope that it will be easier to read. This makes some assumption, of course, that anyone actually reads this anyhow. New year's eve XMZ and i walked along the strip after a noisy dining experience at CIRCUS CIRCUS.  We have many fond memories of this buffet, we were married in the hotel back in 98, almost 20 yrs ago, and revisited often.

Our walk took us as far south as the MIRAGE, We stopped briefly at JET, then back north to Slots-O-Fun till fireworks time.

XMZ had purchased a combination walking stick and tripod, and it worked great for shooting the fireworks. When you see the pictures you will notice the construction crane on the left side. So in addition to the fireworks bang they show the building boom. -30-
